IBM has released what's new for IBM Connections Cloud for November 2016. Here is some of the updates.

SmartCloud Notes

IBM Client Application Access (ICAA) 1.0.1.1 now available

The following feature is new in IBM® Client Application Access (ICAA) feature pack 1.0.1.1.
  • The latest release of IBM Client Application Access (ICAA) now works with IBM mail support for Microsoft Outlook (IMSMO). IMSMO users can use ICAA to open applications from email messages or to open IMSMO from ICAA
Outlook: Your organization directory is available automatically

When addressing a new email or meeting invitation, IBM mail support for Microsoft Outlook users can now automatically look up names in their organization through the IBM Address Book Provider without the need to set up an LDAP directory as was previously required to get name resolution functionality.  Note: This feature is automatically available for new users, however existing IBM mail support for Microsoft Outlook users must re-run setup in order to create a new profile before they can use the IBM Address Book Provider.

Verse

Verse Mobile Android: Simple forms support for 2-step authentication
  • Support for your company userid instead of only cloud email address for customers using federated login with IBM SmartCloud.

Support for custom user and password field names on company login forms for companies using federated login with IBM SmartCloud

    Note:
Users installing Verse Mobile Android for the first time will experience a different login flow. They will first be asked for their cloud email address, the system will then determine the correct authentication endpoint and ask the user to either enter their company user id and password or just their password.

Verse Mobile and Traveler  is now included as part of the IBM Verse trials
  • Do you have a new client looking to use IBM Verse and wants to test out the mobile experience?  IBM Verse trials now include the use of Traveler and IBM Verse mobile.  Go ahead and test it out today!
Connections

Join meetings by audio only
  • IBM Connections Cloud Meeting participants may now choose to join a meeting with audio only, or with audio and video. Please note that this functionality only applies to users accessing meetings via a Web browser.
Administration

Administrators can now configure enforced TLS connections
  • IBM SmartCloud Notes now supports the use of enforced TLS connections.  In certain scenarios, organizations must ensure that TLS encryption is used whenever messages are sent to specific domains.  Administrators can now configure these in the IBM SmartCloud Notes administration site.
