We loved the idea of the DE Lumi illuminated earbuds for someone like a teenager that wants to get noticed. The packaging is simple with the earbuds, an instruction booklet and two additional sizes to adjust the part that goes into the ear itself. The headphones did arrive with a charge so we were able to test them right away. The booklet stated that it would take hours for the earbuds to get a full charge when needed. These earbuds are definitely heavier than most others due to the cable needed for the light. So make sure you use the included clip on the control part so it does not hang heavy on your ears and slip out. We learned that quickly. These would not work well when running.
We found the right size for our ear and used the DE Lumi illuminated earbuds in both calls and for listening to music. In calls it performed ok, except when the illumination was on. it seemed with certain phones, the person wearing the earbuds would send a strange tone we try to describe in the video. When the light was off they functioned perfectly normal. These do not have superior noise cancellation abilities so do not think they will replace a headset that does that and lights up for fun. The top button on the controller allowed you to answer and hang up. The mic was a tiny slot in the front side. It was important to clip it onto something so the mic did not flip over.
The light portion of the DE Lumi illuminated earbuds worked great across types of music. It flashes pretty well to the beat but not perfectly. The on off switch was easy to use by simply holding it for 2 seconds. The charger port was covered and sealed below a little plastic flange. They also included the micro USB cable for charging. But any cable you already have will work fine.
This is a good small gift item for kids. This is not for runners or those with a business headset need due to the noise cancellation. These did what promised are were great fun for the kids at parties and more. You can get your hands on these on Amazon right here http://idonot.es/delumiearbuds
