to continue on
Well
I finished the award judging on Sat and sent it off. I promised a
few more comments. I am glad I waited and thought about what I wanted
to type. I admit there were some tough choices, and some easy eliminations.
Some of the products/services had features abound and truly got the
idea of Notes and Domino. Others were great add-on products that
were needed. But some were, well bewildered. A mix of mail
design changes, agents, rules, extensions to reporting. It goes on
and on for my categories. I was pleased to see some of the effort
that these companies put in though.
Ok maybe
that was harsh in a subtle way. It is just overwhelming to see the
number of facets that were tackled.
Let's
talk undocumented Notes errors. A search of Knowledgebase
(and yes I use both the replicated and online version) gave errors that
revolve around part of the error, but nothing speaking directly to it.
So off to the drawing board. I know it is highly unlikely to
document each and every error that can occur. It is the ones that
sneak up on you and you cannot find. NO I did not go so far as to
search notes Net and all the other sites yet, haven't had the time since
this just occurred as I was typing this. But I am eager to find out
why it is happenening
"Error
updating certifier id; Entry not found in index" whcih
you say, should be nice and obvious. Well hmm, we know the second
part. Tons
of those technotes out there. But
of course no changes have been made to that certifier for that customer.
And we registered new users last week. So where does that take
us. No not
there. It tkaes us into the land
of the unknown errors. It kind of looks like a house of mirrors and
no Windex. (you can go figure that one out).
Back with the answer shortly....
