As I lay under my desk..



   Excuse any typos as I lay in the dark under my desk.  I worked on the customer Domino audit till 2am last night to make sure all was ready for the meeting today at 10am.  They were basically floored.  But after two hours of the call, they have three choices for the solution.

  • We host everything
  • We host the primary web server and replicate with their cluster on-site and then manage all the servers
  • We manage all server remotely and they will keep eating the bandwidth they don't have
Of course all of this comes after we fix domain docs, DNS, security on the Domino server and apparently the coffee maker in the back technician room if we can sneak it into an SOW, LOL.  The previous partner I mentioned before, seemed to think installing everything with default values, including loading every service Domino has to offer, was the best possible solution.  That way they couldn't be told they didn't configure something right?  Unfortunately they didn't configure the security around those services and these poor people, well look for yourself  

On other news, Libby is moving her NotesGirl site over to our hosted servers and is starting to use the Project DX Blog template I use for this site.
Steve has promised to look into my missing text and the resave issue to get things to show right after editing a published blog.  Of course Bruce has been pinging me today asking where my entry was for today.  I am usually good about having them done in the morning and then updating but today, well it was dark under the desk and I needed a nap dammit.  :-)
