Ups and downs

Well here we go.  Outbound Internet mail, what a piece of trickery that one is.  But before I dive headfirst, without checking the depth, into that fiasco, let me share a brief customer story from yesterday.  An email arrives on Fri into our trouble ticketing system.  They mark the ticket as normal priority and so it gets a normal 48 hour turnaround.  Well of course, they couldn't access the server and didn't let us know via phone call or anything else.  So needless to say it became an issue overall, our servers showed all services running and no alerts and they said they couldn't get to it. All is now solved but I tried to make it abundantly clear, if you cannot reach a server, give a call or make the ticket emergency priority.
Back to Internet mail.  Ever wonder how that lovely Internet address if formed when using an alternate domain address instead of the primary domain?  Look no further.  Make sure the user isn't able to edit their darn calendar profile name!!  LOL.  Unfortunately you cannot do that, but I will say that putting a space in the domain name, where according to Domino it is one word, really really really messes things up.
I almost forgot to mention I completed all my slides for the conference you hear me talk about and managed to get another article completed for E-Pro to show up in the May issue I believe.  This one covers a basic rant on public IM and of course how Sametime fits in and solves some of those issues.  I had far more to say than the amount of words they gave me (no smart comments from those of you that know I have no shortage of words).
I am also creating a link page that will show in the upper right with the blogs I read.  I have added a couple recently form jumping around others sites and enjoy reading them.  Ed Brill and I had a quick email about wanting some mechanism to go through all these as the list of ones to read grows and grows.  Anyone have a suggestion?

Back again shortly....

A simple poll, has anyone ever set anonymous access and then went and created an account called anonymous?  Kind of defeats the purpose right?  LOL  We just ran into that and I found it humorous.  Just call me the sharing type.
