This week I had the opportunity to spend some time at the IBM PureSystem Labs that work with PureFlex and PureApplications. While the PureFlex systems were well defined on the specifications webpage (even after taking 12 clicks to find) the PureApplications systems were not.  I included what single image I could find into the video thanks to an IBM rep that was nearby.

The amount of horsepower in each rack with the interchangeable and expandable chassis slots makes it a great data center in a box approach.  Coupled with the management platform, you are able to spin on resources on demand and even take them away when demand drops.  Check out the video for more.

IBM launched the Social Business Jam today, in an attempt to get businesses and social media experts to participate for 72 hours in sharing ideas and brainstorming.  I did a screencast of my thoughts as I entered the jam.  I was hoping it was populated with some starters in advance.  But I found it to be quite empty and I was not sure what to do.

While a Help section was there, and I noted it, a splash with simple steps would have made more sense.

In this podcast we learn all about the NewsGator plug-in I covered a couple days ago in a posting.  Todd, who is the Director of marketing,  said he would send some new screenshots of ther plug-in integration along and I will post here.  He also mentioned the ability to use this same plug-in in the standard Notes 8 client and how it compares to the built-in RSS feed reader.

We talked about the NewsGator Enterprise Server and how it interacts and he announced the agreement NewsGator reached with RSSBus and their RSSBus Feed Server that creates dynamic feeds from databases, spreadsheets and directories.
